Our Commitment
Environment
Al Ain Dairy is committed to leading the way as a responsible and ethical company operating in the community. Al Ain Dairy has developed a comprehensive programme of corporate social initiatives and is committed to the conscientious use of sustainable environmental resources.

Environmental issues and considerations are of prime importance to Al Ain Dairy. Our Chairman takes personal responsibility for the responsible management of environmental concerns, dealing closely with UAE governmental bodies.

Measurements are kept to monitor waste, emissions and water processing levels and the dairy is actively working in consultation with Al Ain Municipality regarding the construction and installation of a new waste treatment plant at the Al Foha farm. Recyclable PET bottles were first introduced to the market by Al Ain Dairy to package its range of milk and juice products.

From the extensive experience gained, Al Ain Dairy is often approached by other international dairies with proposals of cooperation or joint ventures to benefit from Al Ain Dairy’s expertise in setting up standards for high quality and safe products.

Water management is an area of considerable focus at Al Ain Dairy. To play its part in assuring long term, high quality and adequate water supplies, Al Ain Dairy strictly controls the use of water on its farms. The latest technologies are fully utilised in managing water use, including outside shade and weather analysis in deploying the ranch cooling system, and the latest shower facilities, which are only activated by photo sensors when cows approach them.

Extensive studies have been completed regarding fuel consumption and emissions, and Al Ain Dairy has taken several bold steps to reduce the impact of its vehicle fleet on the environment. These have included relocating staff accommodation and cold storage facilities to reduce fuel consumption and emissions into the environment.

Al Ain Dairy in Society
Al Ain Dairy in Society is our corporate societal initiative aimed at increasing and improving the brand awareness of Al Ain Dairy and the community’s perception of the brand at large.

Working actively with the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, Ministry of Education and UAE Universities and Colleges, the dairy participates in training agricultural students and identifying roles within the dairy that are suitable for the employment of UAE nationals. The dairy has recently invested in a luxury 30-seater branded bus to facilitate ease of transportation for various educational and social groups who wish to visit the farm and to learn more about dairy operations.

Al Ain Dairy also supports UAE governmental bodies to raise awareness of major health issues, sponsoring initiatives such as breastfeeding, well women and health awareness conferences, as well as dental symposiums across the UAE.

Traditionally an active promoter of sports, Al Ain Dairy is proud to sponsor a number of local sporting clubs and events and has long term relationships with Al Jazeera Sport Club, Al Ain Sport Club and the Camel Race Association. Aimed at encouraging the youth of the UAE to join sporting activities, Al Ain Dairy has supported local football, handball and cricket matches, marathons, horse and camel races, as well as the recent Al Ain Aerobatics show.

Al Ain Dairy is committed to furthering its support of local sports throughout the community.

Social clubs also play an important part in enabling Al Ain Dairy to reach all members of the UAE community. The dairy has a history of supporting talent contests, fetes and sales, sporting events and cultural awareness programmes organised by philanthropic organisations from the various nationalities found resident in the UAE.

Ain Dairy and UNICEF
One of the pillars of the Al Ain Dairy in Society programme is our ongoing sponsorship of UNICEF, the global charitable institution which works in 158 countries to help children survive and thrive from early childhood through adolescence. UNICEF supports child health and nutrition, quality basic education for all and the protection of children from violence, exploitation and disease.

Funded entirely by the voluntary contributions from individuals, businesses, foundations and governments, Al Ain Dairy is extremely proud to be an accredited supporter. Each bottle of Al Ain milk produced bears a sticker to highlight the fact that a contribution is made to UNICEF and the dairy enjoys high awareness and recall of this association by consumers. We intend to continue this mutually beneficial relationship and association.

Our vision & Mission
Our vision is to be recognised as the preferred choice of dairy products of households in the Emirates.

Our mission is to maintain a tradition of excellence in customer service, to lead the dairy industry in milk innovation and to offer consumers a wide variety of high quality safe products at affordable prices.

Additionally, four basic corporate business values act as guiding principles governing the operations of Al Ain Dairy, providing objective leadership in all aspects of the dairy’s day to day management.

  • Recognise that the recruitment of competent people and providing training is crucial to the future of the company. The success of Al Ain Dairy depends on the conduct, professionalism and responsible attitude of all employees and its leadership.
  • Recognise that without customers, Al Ain Dairy will not exist. Therefore, we must strive to offer consumers a wide variety of choice and high quality and safe products.
  • Conduct all business with integrity and fairness, and expect the same high standards from reputable and recognised suppliers.
  • Commit to invest in protecting the environment, especially with regard to responsible water management.

Customer relations
Al Ain Dairy periodically conducts market studies through professional external market research specialists to evaluate customer opinions, attitudes and perceptions. Areas studied include overall consumer preferences and expectations for dairy and juice products, alongside perception about Al Ain Dairy. Results have guided the formation of new product lines designed to meet customer needs.

Research has shown that customers are becoming increasingly health conscious and this has led to the successful launch and introduction of Al Ain Dairy’s Optimil and Benecol product ranges and the formulation of max calcium, skimmed and low fat varieties of fresh milk. Al Ain Dairy also continually evaluates packaging visibility and design to ensure that products are attractive and appealing to consumers in the retail environment.

Al Ain Dairy conducts consumer product sampling through a number of key retail partners to obtain direct customer feedback and opinion with regard to new products. Customer satisfaction surveys also form an essential part of customer relations efforts, as does the Al Ain Dairy in Society social responsibility programme.
